Mathews T. Hamutenya
Mr Mathews Taapopi Hamutenya (MTH) is an entrepreneur and a focused visionary leader on a mission to live a life of legacy for future generations. He grew up in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. At a very early age Mathews began showing an interest in business ventures and today he is a well known business man and entrepreneur in Namibia.
Mathews hold a Post Graduate Diploma as well as a MBA from the Bradford University School Of Management. He is also a holder of a Financial Business Management Certificate from the Hoodland Height University in Cape Town. His successes and accomplishments in the entrepreneurial and leadership world have attracted much recognition by local and international observers. MTH is the classical definition of success and possesses common characteristics that are shared by successful business people, which includes a strong desire to get things going.
The Namibian Business Mogul did not just get things going, he got things going and has made sure that they have taken him places and given him international recognition and awards.
In 2011, Millennium Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, under the leadership of Mr Hamutenya, received the Century International Quality ERA Award in the gold category in Geneva, Switzerland. Awards organised by Business Initiative Directions (BID). Through this, Millennium Investment Holdings was recognised for its commitment to quality and excellence, leadership technology and innovation that spruces up the success for Namibia in the business world.
CEO & Executive Director
Mr. Hamutenya was born in 1993 in Windhoek, Namibia. He attended his primary school at St Georges and his secondary school at Bishops Diocesan College in Cape Town, South Africa.
Mr. Hamutenya holds an Honors Degree in Business (Magna Cum Laude) from the United International Business School in Madrid, Spain. He completed a Diploma in Business Communication with the BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, Norway. He also did an internship in International Business Relations, in Tokyo, Japan.
Mr. Hamutenya has completed a Corporate Finance Diploma in London at the European School of Economics.
Mr. Hamutenya has been fortunate to have lived in different countries around the world including Namibia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Israel, Malta, Norway and Spain.
At a young age, he started working closely with his father, Mr. Mathews Hamutenya (Founder and Executive Chairperson of the Millennium Investment Holding Group), focusing on Strategic Business Development.
In 2016, Miguel Hamutenya was appointed as a Director with focus on Strategic Business Development within the Millennium Investment Group.
In 2019 Mr. Hamutenya has been appointed as Millennium Investment Group’s Executive Director.
Jacky Scholz was born in Cologne, Germany, in 1967. She grew up in Tsumeb, Namibia, and studied law at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
Jacky holds B.Iuris and LLB degrees in law and an LLM in Constitutional Law. On 8 December 1992 Jacky was admitted as an advocate to the High Court of South Africa. Jacky commenced her career with the Department of Justice of South Africa where she was a State Law Advisor until her relocation to Namibia in 1996.
During the past decade she has provided legal consultancy services in a variety of fields with her main specialisation being commercial, energy, administrative and constitutional law.
She was appointed as a director of Millennium Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd in 2007. She also manages Millennium Consolidated Consultancy Services cc (“Milenco”), a member of Millennium Group.
Jacky is also a member of the Namibian Biosafety Alliance and actively involved in the field of GMOs, biosafety and biodiversity.
She is the current Secretary and External Advisor to Association of Service Stations Owners (ASSO) in Namibia.
Abisai, originally from Ohaingu village in the Ohangwena Region of northern Namibia, is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Namibia, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2007. His professional journey began at NovaNam/Pescanova Group in Luderitz, Namibia, where he dedicated two years, enhancing his expertise in the field. Subsequently, Abisai expanded his experience by completing his articles at Grand Namibia Public Accountants and Auditors over a three-year period.
In 2013, Abisai’s career took a significant turn when he joined the Millennium Group of Companies, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge in finance and accounting. This experience has not only honed his skills but also made him a vital asset to the company, embodying its philosophy with his exceptional dedication and work ethic.
Abisai harbors ambitions of entrepreneurship and aims to evolve into a skilled professional leader. He lives by principles that emphasize humility, discipline, effective communication, and democratic leadership, with a strong belief in the power of knowledge and the importance of combating ignorance. These values guide both his professional endeavors and personal life, shaping him into a well-rounded individual committed to growth and excellence.
HR & Admin Manager
Kondjeinasho Haufiku was born January 29, 1985 in Nyango Zambia. After Independance her family returned to Namibia when she was 5years old where they lived in Ongwediva for 3years before permanatly settling to Windhoek in 1993.
Kondjeni embarked on her journey with the MIH Group of Companies in 2002 at just 17 years old, starting her career as the company’s receptionist. Her dedication and potential were quickly recognized, leading to her promotion to Personal Assistant to the Managing Director in 2006, a role she excelled in until 2012. Demonstrating her adaptability and leadership, Kondjeni then transitioned to a pivotal role in establishing and leading the Human Resource Division as its manager, significantly contributing to the company’s structure and growth.
Her academic achievements include a National Diploma in Public Relations from the Polytechnic of Namibia, further complemented by a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management. Kondjeni is currently advancing her education, working towards an Honours degree with aspirations to complete her Master’s Degree subsequently.
With over two decades of service at MIH, Kondjeni’s impact on the company is profound. A decade ago, she envisioned implementing policies to enhance the Group’s human capital. Today, the realization of those objectives is evident in the strong, committed team she has helped to build, marking her tenure not only in terms of years but in substantial contributions to the company’s success and the nurturing of its workforce.
